Tramsport Technology replaces Transport Technology and Associated Services. It will continue to cover transport technologies and services for all transport sectors. It will also contain a focus on technologies requested through engagement with Suppliers and Customers, and for technologies aligned to the delivery of Government policies.

The scope of this Framework has been increased over 8 Lots to include products and services such as transport engineering, design services, and sustainable technologies. Transport Technology will include a Catalogue which you can use to buy low-value and low-complexity goods and services.

Lots – Transport Technology

Lot 1

Transport Professional Services

Lot 1 is based around transport-related professional services, consultancy, and project management. Where requested by the Buyer, Suppliers will provide a range of services which may include but are not limited to:

• Scope and feasibility studies

• Training and behavioural change

• Mobility as a Service (MaaS)

• Design consultancy

• Tyre approval, assuance, testing, and evaluation

Transport Data Services

Lot 2 is based around transport-related data services. Where requested by the Buyer, Suppliers will provide a range of services which may include but are not limited to:

• Data acquisition

• Data analytics

• Transport data uses

• Quality assurance testing

 

Parking Management

Lot 3 is based around the parking sector, bringing capabilities from service providers for outsourcing of their parking requirements on-street or off-street. Where requested by the Buyer, Suppliers will provide a range of deliverables which may include but are not limited to:

• Parking professional services

• Parking enforcement services

• Implementation of vehicle enforcement capabilities

• Supply of stationary and other materials

• Back office platforms and applications

• Operational management

• Infrastructure, ancillaries, and technologies

Environmental Monitoring & Climate Resilience

Lot 4 is for technology deployed across transport networks and in rural and urban areas to understand and address issues that affect the environment. Where requested by the Buyer, Suppliers will provide a range of deliverables which may include but are not limited to:

• Environmental professional services

• Data and software services

• Environmental monitoring solutions

• Weather monitoring

• Air quality monitoring

• Ambient light monitoring

• Water monitoring

• Noise, dust, and vibration monitoring

• Animal and ecological technologies

Enforcement, Security, Compliance

Lot 5 is based around enforcement, security, compliance and emergency service technologies and services. Where requested by the Buyer, Suppliers will provide a range of deliverables which may include but are not limited to:

• Vehicle operation based technologies

• Type-approved vehicle operator enforcement technologies

• Vehicle compliance systems and equipment

• Moving traffic offences

• Personnel safety and protection

• Emergency service safety and technology

• Thief, nuisance, trespass, and crime prevention

• Behavioural technologies

 

Electric Vehicle and Alternative Fuel Infrastructure

Lot 6 is for electric vehicle charging infrastructure, enabling systems. Where requested by the Buyer, Suppliers will provide a range of deliverables:

• Professional services

• Vehicle charging points

• Mobile charging points and related ancillaries

• Energy generation and storage

• Back office platforms and applications

• Infrastructure and ancillaries

• Maintenance and support

7b: Smart Ticketing Capabilities

This Lot covers various ticketing types, such as ticketing printing, ITSO (previously Integrated Transport Smartcard Organisation), QR code, barcode readers, contactless ticketing systems (cEMV), and mobile / API solutions.

7c: Transport Network Management

Asset management

• Transport management systems

• System advice, warnings, and guidance

• Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)

 

Passive and Active Infrastructure

8a: Networking Devices

Systems and equipment to support the delivery, installation, and support of wired, wireless, and mobile transport communications:

IoT device connectivity technologies

In-vehicle connectivity and systems including eCall SOS

Vehicular WiFi equipment

Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) equipment

8b: Cabinets, Furniture, Storage, and Ancillaries

• Equipment cabinets

• Electrical and data cabinets

• Frames and security straps

• Power supply requirements

• Ancillaries / cables etc.

8c: Lighting and Electrical Installation

Permanently deployed lighting solutions for all transport modes and uses as defined by the Buyer.

• Lighting control systems

• Survey and asset review

• Lighting plan designs

• Upgrade of eisting assets to high efficiency lighting (e.g. CMS & LED)

• Street and exterior lighting equipment

• Electrical connections

8d: Traffic Management Technologies

Requirements may include management of traffic during works, events, management of Traffic Regulation Orders and other associated services. Permanently deployed solutions and temporary are in scope.

8e: Detectors, Informing, and Communication Technologies

Detectors, informing & communication technologies, covering detectors like CCTV, Informing systems like Variable Message Signs, and communication technologies, like emergency telephony, radio, and satellite phones.
